At the races
Last night, our friends introduced us to the world of stockcar racing - think burnt rubber, gasoline, and loud cars. There was quite a crowd when we got to the Sunshine Speedway. The races lined up for the night included Outlaw Late Models, Open Wheel Modifieds, Mini Stocks, and Street Stocks. The grand finale was a school bus race. After the School Bus Figure 8 race, it's hard to look at school buses the same way again.

Just got back from a free jazz concert at Old Hyde Park Village. Good music, great company, can't wait to do it again. The jazz series takes place every third Friday of each month from 6-9 p.m.

I believe they are sandhill cranes. Not sure why they were perched on the telephone line like pidgeons
